Meet Dr. Roya Moheimani

Dr. Roya Moheimani is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and completed an ACGME fellowship in anesthesia pain medicine at UCSD (AAPM Fellowship Program of Year 2019). She is trained in interventional spine procedures including spinal epidurals, facet blocks & ablations, joint injections, spinal cord stimulation and more.  She is well versed in electrodiagnostics and offers EMG and nerve conduction studies (NCS).

Dr. Roya Moheimani’s interest including treating spinal and musculoskeletal pain and avoiding surgery if possible. She is also trained in regenerative options including PRP (platelet rich plasma) and BMAC (often called stem cell colloquially).  She is also a big believer in holistic treatment options, including mindfulness and meditation, for chronic pain. Dr. Roya Moheimani also offers interventional options for peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome, headaches, abdominal and pelvic pain.

Dr. Roya Moheimani has over 15 peer reviewed publications and is active in research and scholarly pursuit. She has published book chapters and review papers within the field of pain medicine.  In her free time, she is an avid college football and general sports fan. She is active playing basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball. You can also find her hiking, rollerblading, and cycling. She has firsthand exposure with bumps and bruises from partaking in sports and life. Thus, she is interested in treating any pain holding you back from what you love and would like to help you return to doing the activities you love.
